Concrete Projects In Design
Concrete is the perfect material for a DIY bookend. It’s heavy and easy to work with. For example, you can make a diamond-shaped bookend. The mold can be made of cardboard and, once the concrete is dry, you peel it off.
Design Of Concrete Lamps
Concrete is a great material for a lamp base because it’s heavy and sturdy. Also, you can make the base in any shape and size you want. This desk lamp can be made from scratch when you have some spare time
If you want, you can also make monogram bookends. You need fiberboard letter for the molds. The process is the same as for any other type of mold. And the result may be very interesting)
An In-Depth Guide To Polished Concrete Floors
Concrete is a hot material right now in all aspects of architecture and home design. While it once was expected and appropriate to cover the concrete foundation of one’s home with some “suitable” flooring material, those days are gone. Polished concrete floors are chic and sophisticated and are often considered the prime flooring surface for a modern design home.
Polished Concrete Floors
Sometimes standard-grade grey concrete, however polished it might be, just isn’t the right fit for a space. The good news is, concrete in any form (even that of flooring) can be stained or dyed to work into any design or color palette. Stains and dyes can not only alter the color of the concrete itself, but they will inevitably enhance the polished look and feel of the concrete itself.
Original Bathroom Furniture Made of Old Wine Barrels
Is it a bathroom or a cellar? Or is it maybe both? You might ask yourself these questions if you enter and see a bathroom designed by those from the Native Trails. They used old wine barrels which they disassembled and modified them and then they transformed them into a bath vanity, a mirror and a vanity top.
Pool Houses To Be Proud Of And Inspired By
Pool houses were once considered a luxury only the most influential and the richest could afford. But things change and right now having a pool house doesn’t seem like such an extravagance. Nevertheless, it’s something to be proud of and impressed by, especially if the overall design is anywhere near the examples we’ve prepared for you today.
Pool Houses To Be Proud Of
The indoor and outdoor spaces are very well defined in the case of the contemporary family home built by Fabrizia Frezza in Rome, Italy. The project was called Villa Olgiata, inspired by the location. A rectangular swimming pool is at the core of the outdoor social spaces. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are arranged on the lawn to its right and left side and a covered living space is placed at the back of the yard.
The site on which this home in Malvern was built was quite small so squeezing a large pool and a spacious residence on it was a real challenge. To maximize both these elements, the architects at Robson Rak built the pool along the edges of the house with no buffers between. The pool’s zig-zag edge then continues in a straight line in the backyard. The clear sides make the interior visible giving the pool a futuristic appearance.
Houses with openair pools
The house and the pool are two separate areas in the case of the Vineyard Farm House by Charles Rose Architects. The residence is located in Massachusetts, USA. It serves as a family vacation home and it has distant views of the Atlantic Ocean. A roof deck was designed to these views can be admired. It also overlooks the swimming pool.
Pool Houses To Be Inspired By
The house you see here is quite impressive and that’s partially because it’s been raised on a solid platform in order to cope with the sloping terrain. As a result, the deck and swimming pool are situated above tree tops. They actually form the ground floor. The upper level is a geometric box with an open terrace that covers the entrance beneath. The residence was designed by Alexandra Fedorova and is located in Sochi, Russia.
Designs of openair pools
Located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this modern residence overlooks the Banderas bay and has an ample interior complemented by vast outdoor spaces. Called Casa China Blanca, the holiday home can be rented and accommodates up to 10 guests. The outdoor social spaces and the pool open directly onto the bay and the views rarely get more serene than that.
